Job summary

An exciting, innovative opportunity has arisen for a Children's Mental Health Specialist Practitioner (Band 7) post here at the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (BTHFT).

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and professional multi-disciplinary team to increase availability of mental health and well-being support for children and young people up to the age of (but not including) 18 across this acute Trust.

This is a great opportunity to provide outstanding care working closely with the children's safeguarding team and children's inpatient, and community services whilst also liaising with teams in the Children's Emergency Department, on adult wards where young people are admitted and also with the adult mental health team at BTHFT.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to:

  • develop strong working relations with numerous stakeholders
  • provide expert advice on all aspects of Mental Health and Well-being for Children
  • develop, implement and evaluate programme of education relating to Children's Mental Health

You must be a Registered Children's Nurse, a Children's Mental Health Nurse, or other Registered Practitioner with appropriate children's mental health experience to apply.
