Job summary

We areseeking outstandingindividualsto join our Board as a Non-Executive Directorand Associate Non-Executive Director's. Non-ExecutiveDirectors bringan independent perspective,supportand challenge to help shape the future of the Trust into the next stage in its evolution. We have an ambition to increase diversity at Board level andwould welcomeapplications from individuals from under-represented groups.

As aDirector, you will work alongside the Chair, other Non-ExecutiveDirectorsand Executive Directors of the Foundation Trust. You will share responsibility with the other Board directors for the success of theorganisation.

Your role will be to use your skills and your personal experience to:

  • contribute to the development of the Trusts strategy and business planningprocesses;
  • play your part in ensuring the Trusts compliance with its regulatoryframework;
  • helpensurethattheBoardsetschallenginggoalsandobjectivesforhealthservicesandformeetingtargetsfor treatment;
  • monitortheperformanceoftheexecutiveteamindeliveringthecorporateobjectives,includingkeytargetssetboth nationally and locally;
  • ensurethattheBoardalwaysactsinthebestinterestsofpatientsandthewiderpublic,andthatfullaccountistakenof advice received from the Council ofGovernors;
