Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Pre-treatment Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly multi-professional radiotherapy team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. We deliver a range of treatment techniques, including Lung and Bone SABR and we are actively engaged in both commercial and non-commercial research trials.
You will be an enthusiastic Therapeutic Radiographer with significant experience in pre-treatment activities including CT, 4DCT, cannulation, contrast delivery and palliative virtual simulation.
You will be joining at an exciting time when we are implementing SGRT (now installed on both linacs and in CT) and abdominal compression. In addition we are upgrading our current version of Mosaiq in the Autumn and working towards implementation of a new Devon wide EPR system.

Main duties of the job
- You will be expected to provide an efficient, effective and timely pre-treatment service in accordance with the departmental protocols and procedures.
- You will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of Radiotherapy planning-CT datasets for a range of body-sites, including use of 4DCT and contrast.
- You will be responsible for the palliative radiotherapy pre-treatment calculations and data entry.
- You will liaise and work with the treatment radiographers in problem solving complex treatment set-ups or issues as they arise and help produce guidance for IGRT when required.
- You will be supported with on-going professional development and in maintaining your own portfolio of practice.
- You will contribute to maintaining the radiotherapy BSI accreditation and ensure that all patients receive an outstanding quality service.
