Job summary

The Moor to Sea Community Nursing Team are based at three sites in the South of Devon. Ashburton/Buckfastleigh, Dartmouth and Totnes. Other than these small towns our footprint is largely rural.

We are looking for a full time Community Healthcare Support Worker (37.5hrs/PW) who is committed to high standards of care and who shows enthusiasm and a willingness to be a forceful advocate for the patients they look after.

We are focused on quality of care and offer a supportive network to allow any staff member to develop their potential through education and training alongside a friendly and supportive team.

Moor to Sea Community Nurse team covers Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Dartmouth and Totnes and the surrounding areas. We are a busy, friendly and supportive team, committed to staff development through education and training.

Helping staff realise their potential in topics of interest to them and encouraging career pathways in Community Nursing is important to us. Main duties of the job

Venepuncture and sampling, basic and complex wound care, medication administration (with support). Safe and effective moving and handling and infection control practices. Good communication and documentation.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification/experience

Desirable

  • Care certificate
  • English & Mathematics at GSCE grade A-C (9-4) or level 2 functional skills
