Children and Family Health Devon have developed an innovative, integrated model of children's community services and now looking to appoint enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and dedicated locality and county-wide professional teams.
We are excited to be advertising for a part time Clinical Team Manager to support our new Managing Neurodiversity pathway of care in Torbay and South. This post is a permanent contract could be a wonderful opportunity for someone to develop their skill in clinical team management with support.
If you are a motivated individual with good interpersonal skills, the clinical knowledge and experience in the area of neurodiversity and would like to be part of this innovative and friendly team, we would love to hear from you. We are able to consider a base in either Torbay or South Devon.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job
- Provide effective collaborative leadership and day to day operational management of the clinical team
- Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of evidence based clinical care
- Ensure the service is delivered in partnership with other clinical pathways within the locality, health specialties and partner organisations
- Ensure the service is delivered in partnership with children, young people and their parents/ carers, ensuring their active participation is facilitated
- In partnership with the Operations Manager, ensure that clinical and non-clinical risks within the pathway are identified and managed effectively
- To maintain systems to monitor demand and maintain optimal clinical capacity within the team
- Work collaboratively with other leaders (professional, clinical and operational), to maintain excellent clinical standards and safety
- Ensure clinical provision in the pathway is delivered to meet key performance targets
- Provide supervision, operational management and support to clinicians , to understand and follow HR policies and procedures, ensure staff wellbeing and development and adopt a collaborative approach to engage staff
- Attend, participate and chair relevant meetings, adapting communication to meet the needs of others
- To deputise for the Operations Manager as required

CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health which are provided by Torbay and South Devon Foundation Trust and Devon Partnership Trust. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework, in response to consultation with our service users and communities.
CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.
Our integrated care and treatment has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.
