Job summary

An exciting opportunity had arisen for 1 full time candidate and part time candidate to work in the 0 to 19 Torbay Public Health Nursing Administration Hub.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and personal skills and have the ability to manage their time effectively, multi-task and work autonomously, to meet the needs of the service within a busy environment andprovide high quality secretarial/office administrative service for the 0 to 19 Torbay Partnership.

We are looking for a candidate who has a good standard of education and office experience, good IT skills including the ability to access and use a range of applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

You must be able to build effective working relationships, be approachable and accessible with a flexible approach to work.

Main duties of the job

- Working closely with the 0-19 Torbay Partnership teams in providing joined up care to clients.

- Answering emails and telephone calls from practitioners, other services and members of the public. Being professional and remaining resilient at all times. Signposting to other services where applicable.

- Checking and then inputting data received into the Admin Hub onto the Paris Health IT system. Ensuring that information received is accurate and querying anything that is not.

- To follow trust policies and pathways and use discretion in interpreting them according to setting and circumstances.

- To be able to type letters on behalf of staff.

- Covering reception on behalf of the department and other departments within the building.

- Understanding word processing databases.

- Able to understand and interpret data in a variety of formats.

- Booking a variety of appointments such as antenatal and New Birth visits into clinician's electronic diaries.

About us

0 to 19 Torbay is a partnership made up of Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, Action for Children and the Children's Society. Within this sits our 0-19 Admin Hub which is made up of hard working, dedicated administrators with a variety of skill mix.

We continue to develop both our 0 to 19 Admin Hub and Partnership every day and are hoping to employ someone who is positive, dynamic and hard working, who can also bring new ideas and experience to the table and help us provide the best service possible to the Torbay area.

The post holder will work with other members of the 0 to 19 Admin Team to provide a single point of access into 0 to 19 Torbay, for TSDFT departments, partner agencies and the public.
