Job summary
Our Administrative Assistant will support the Procurement and Logistics Managers by ensuring application of quality procedures within the Procurement Department with regard to processing of purchase orders and other Supplies related documentation. They will provide support to other members of the Procurement Department and product users in the Trust to ensure that an effective and efficient service is provided to users of the Procurement service.
They will provide general office support using Microsoft Office - Typing, spreadsheet, letters; distributes, files documents, answering telephone enquiries and arrangingmeetings. They will work within a small admin team to ensure continuity of cover across the whole department. This role offers you the chance to develop skills, knowledge and experience of all aspects of Procurement

About us
The department consists of 18 Procurement staff and 17 Logistics staff. The department procures goods and services on behalf of Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, with responsibility for non-pay expenditure of £183 million per annum. The Logistics department provides a stock replenishment service to designated department and distributes sterile supplies to the wider healthcare community.
