With the implementation of the new Patient Safety Investigation Response Framework (PSIRF), there is no better time to join the Patient Safety and Quality Team at Torbay Hospital!
We are seeking to recruit a candidate who has a keen interest in patient safety.
You will be joining Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust to work as a member of the Central Patient Safety and Quality Team (PSQT) and will assist the team in facilitating high quality safe care for service users by supporting staff in monitoring incident and near miss reports learning from these to continually improve the quality of care provided.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be involved the administration of the Patient Safety framework to ensure that the organisation consistently demonstrates a learning and quality improvement culture.

The post holder will use a variety of administration skills:
- To support the incident reporting system assessing risk and reporting to various committees aimed at improving the quality and care of service users across the Trust.
- To support in the administration of executive led meetings.
- To provide administrative support in the production and management of clinical policies, guidelines and other clinical-facing documents, formatting these using Microsoft Office and preparing them for Trust publication
- To provide administrative support in the production and management of patient information leaflets
- This post will also assist with the administration of audit as well as supporting activities that relate to the investigation of incidents and the quality and patient safety agenda commensurate with grade
- To receive and process the alerts the Trust receives via the Central Alerting System
- Assist in embedding the patient quality and safety processes across the Trust and support the PSQT in operationally managing those processes.
- Assisting in the design and upkeep of audit tools, databases
