Job summary

The Trust is looking for someone is who is highly motivated and who can make a high impact on our system development pathway. We are lucky that we have very competent staff already in place.

Your role will be to provide professional leadership to the team, to continue to develop skillsets, within the team and beyond and help us on our migration path from an on-premise solution to a cloud based application.

Be instrumental in helping the Finance and Procurement department in achieving its strategic goals, namely facilitating the timely delivery of accurate and engaging information to budget holders throughout the Trust and in having access to seamless procurement solutions.

You will provide professional leadership to the Finance and Procurement Systems team and will work with the Senior Financial and Procurement team to identify and prioritise system developments.

Leading the design, development and day to day operation of the financial and procurement systems including the implementation of highly developed change control processes, bespoke training plans and implement changes to the systems architecture.

Main duties of the job

  • Scope opportunities for the continual development of the Trust's main financial and procurement systems.
  • Assist in the production of Business cases to help secure resources where major system upgrades / changes are required.
  • Lead the design, development and day to day operation of the financial andprocurement systems including the implementation of highly developedchange control processes, bespoke training plans and implement changes tothe systems architecture.
  • Ensure that robust system documentation is in place to facilitate maintenanceof the applications.
  • Overall management of the team to ensure that tasks are being actioned in atimely and accurate manner to enable effective financial and procurementreporting, safeguarding of Trust assets and delivering an efficientprocurement process.
  • Lead and develop the skills of the Systems Team to assist with their personaldevelopment and to improve the resilience of the services supported by theteam.
