Due to the expansion of the clinics held at Dawlish Community Hospital we have an exciting opportunity for an individual with the existing skill set and qualifications to join our team as a Band 4 Nursing Associate. Alternatively, if you do not currently hold the relevant qualifications and registration, we would be happy to accept applications from individuals joining as a Trainee Nursing Associate.

Should you be successful as a Trainee Nursing Associate, you will commence employment as a Band 3 and subject to evidence of satisfactory qualifications and registration you will then progress to a Band 4. Please note, we would only consider applications from individuals who are currently enrolled and working towards their NMC pin.

In this role you will be, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, assisted and encouraged with your development in developing clinical skills and managing your own caseload of patient through clinics; to include Rheumatology, vasectomy, Lower limb, Microsuction.

Main duties of the job

  • The Nurse Associate and Assistant Practitioner works within the sphere of nursing to provide a high quality of nursing care across the lifespan and fields of nursing. Working under the leadership and delegation of the Registered Nurse, they will assume responsibility for their workload.
  • The will work as part of a team, delivering health and social care that focuses on the holistic needs of service users.
  • They will carry out specific clinical tasks and responsibilities as delegated by registered practitioners.
  • Supervision and teaching of junior staff will be part of the role
