Job summary
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated candidates to join our Consultant team and will consider applicants with strong General Radiology skills; those with specialist interest in Neurology are preferred.
This is a substantive post joining 23 existing Consultant Radiologists. We provide diagnostic imaging services to Primary Care and all Trust Specialities with imaging provided at Torbay DGH, in Community sites and at a Community Diagnostic Centre (coming into service in 2024). The role includes provision of on-call, supported by Radiology Registrars.
This post is offered on a full-time basis and is available as soon as possible. The role has been created to meet the increasing needs of the service. You will be contracted to 10 programmed activities per week.
The candidate will need to demonstrate professional excellence and ability to deliver effective care.
We will consider applicant with strong General Radiology skill and with any specialist interest. However, we are particularly keen to see applications from those specialising in Neuroradiology

Main duties of the job
- To support the delivery of Radiology services in Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
- To support activities related to the Peninsula Radiology Network.
- To be part of the Radiology on-call rosters, supported by Radiology Registrars.
- To assist the development of innovative ways to deliver services.
- To support training activities for Radiology Trainees and Medical student.
- There will be an opportunity of developing a subspecialty interest that complements the service

We will be happy to discuss the opportunity to develop sub-specialty/special interests with interested candidates and are particularly seeking those with Neuroradiology as a special interest.
