This unique and exciting opportunity will offer you the chance to study with our chosen university provider and gain a (BSc) degree in Adult Nursing. You will do this without incurring student debt whilst earning a progressive and competitive salary. You will be a full-time student completing theory and practice hours in line with university and NMC requirements over a full-time three-year programme.
Learning delivery will encompass all practical and theoretical elements of an NMC approved nursing programme this includes university campus, online, simulation and virtual learning. You will also undertake clinical placements in a range of environments across our Integrated Care Organisation to gain the practical skills required and how we support our patients across Health and Social Care.
Main duties of the job
You will be based as an employee within Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust under the line management of Clinical Education as a `base area` and will experience working in clinical placements in order that you gain a wide appreciation of many health and care contexts alongside an academic programme enabling you to fulfil all the requirements of the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC).
During the degree programme you will develop skills and knowledge that will allow you to work in today's dynamic and changing healthcare environment. You will be required to commit to self-directed study and successfully complete the programme within the contract period. You are required to be familiar with and abide by the NMC code of professional conduct as the professional registering body, at all times, from the start of training and throughout the programme.
