Within Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) we are developing an innovative, integrated model of children's community services and looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and dedicated locality and county-wide professional teams.

We are excited to be advertising for an Assistant Practitioner to join the Neurodiversity Pathway within Torbay and South Devon. This is an exciting time to join CFHD and to be a part of a newly forming team offering intervention and undertaking clinical assessments. The role of Assistant Practitioner within the Neurodiversity Pathway will focus on supporting neurodivergent young people and their families. The post will involve working within a specialist multi-disciplinary team and liaising, and working closely with colleagues both in CFHD, and with other organisations.
Main duties of the job
Active involvement in the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate services as an effective member of the specialist multi-disciplinary team.Supporting the process of providing specialist assessment, review and care packages to individuals and groups within standard protocols, and integrated care pathways.Providing evidence-based advice and consultancy to young people, familymembers/carers within standard protocolsOrganising and managing a defined caseload under distant guidance and work as lone workers where appropriate.The post holder will receive advice and expertise of a registered practitioner through the use of regular managerial and clinical supervision in accordance with Trust policy

CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.
Our integrated care and treatment has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.
