About us

We work collaboratively with our locality providing the Torbay Care Home Visiting Service, which was successfully developed and piloted by our Federation prior to the PCN.

This role would be equally attractive for a GP that has recently completed their training, as well as a more experienced GP. We are passionate about advancing Primary Care to meet the current and future challenges and strive to work in a manner that supports our doctors and is sustainable whilst providing high quality care. We want Primary Care to be enjoyable and vibrant. We have two experienced ANPs and one experienced paramedic as well as a Mental health team via the PCN who provide some appropriate mental health triage.

More recently, we have embraced change, adapting, and evolving through the Covid-19 Pandemic and have used these experiences to build a better service for our patients and GPs. Our sessions are a combination of triaged and face2face appointments, as well as continuing to utilise E-Consults and videos where appropriate. We do not run traditional duty surgeries but rather telephone triage is carried out in twos with one GP being reception hub doctor and one doctor seeing urgent extras in an afternoon and with support of all doctors after 4pm daily and our ANP undertakes most of our home visits. Our prescribing Pharmacist Team manages most medication queries and reviews, along with repeat prescription requests.
