Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a small Stability team based in a Quality Control Laboratory You will be apart of a team who put together and perform stability trials of pharmaceutical products manufactured here at Torbay Pharmaceuticals.

We are looking for an analyst to join our established team to perform high quality analytical testing to cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards to assure the Quality, Safety and Efficacy of our products across their shelf life. The role will contribute to ongoing annual testing of Licensed TP Products, in addition to playing a vital part in providing Stability data for the regulatory submission of new products across the globe.

To be successful in this role you will need to have previously worked in science based or laboratory role. You will need to be a good team player, hardworking and reliable, show close attention to detail. You will need the ability to work to a deadline and ensure that all tasks performed meet the required standards in compliance with regulations, and that all data is generated to cGMP and the Pharmaceutical Quality System

Our team of Stability Analysts based within the QC Chemistry Lab, work closely together to complete projects within tight deadlines. Work often involves testing of new products and supporting/working alongside other teams.

Main duties of the job

  • Performing analysis of Stability samples to meet the required standards in compliance with regulations
  • Producing data to assist in the licensing of products for Torbay Pharmaceuticals and maintaining compliance
  • Ensure that the stability programme is followed and that all data is generated to cGMP and the Pharmaceutical Quality System

  • Inform senior staff if they believe products tested show results that may be of concern when being directly used on patients, these products would have already been released and being used in acute trusts.
  • Observance of all relevant safety regulations, e.g. Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH etc.
  • The laboratory uses extremely hazardous chemicals and solvents, and tests very toxic and potent drugs which require handling with extreme care. A very high skill level is required for this testing to protect the operator and environment.
  • Provides technical information for results of stability studies and tests performed on critical medicinal samples so that decisions can be made on the safety and use of medicines on patients.
