Job summary
As a Drug & Alcohol Recovery Coordinator your purpose is to help improve the health & wellbeing of people with a range of substance misuse difficulties.While the role is dynamic and challenging, we will support you to develop further skills you need to thrive in the role. In return, you will need to be motivated, flexible and eager to learn.
As a drug and alcohol Recovery Coordinator you will manage a mixed caseload, undertake assessments, develop recovery plans, monitor prescribing interventions, and support individuals to make changes in their substance use and to help people reach their true potential.
Previous experience of working within the addictions sector would be an advantage however, we would be willing to consider applications from individuals who are able to evidence a desire to work in this area of field in addition to, having a good knowledge base of addictions work.

Main duties of the job
About you
You may have experience within the substance misuse sector or have transferable skills and be looking for a change. We are looking for people with excellent communication skills and flexibility to take on an extremely varied and rewarding role.
You will have knowledge and awareness of the factors impacting individuals who misuse substances.
Interacting with patients and the public you will be confident in giving clinical information and advice that improves their experience. Dealing with sensitive information daily, you will understand the importance of data security.
You will often work under pressure and without direct supervision, so we are looking for someone confident and capable. You will prioritise tasks, and manage your own workload and report to the clinical team lead/line manager.
Successful candidates will be effective communicators, efficient and organised and will be passionate about working with individuals to achieve recovery.
