Dermatology Department is an outpatient unit based in John Parkes. We are very friendly and dynamic team which is looking for Band 7 nurse manager to join us.
We are unit which provide variety of dermatology treatment from inflammatory clinics to PUVA and surgical treatment. If you are motivated, dedicated to deliver excellence care, passionate about leading by example ten we would like to hear from you.
This position would be considered for a Band 6 developmental role, once competencies have be met would then progress to Band 7.

Main duties of the job
- To provide Clinical Nurse Management, Clinical Leadership and expertise in all aspects of dermatology service delivery within sphere of responsibility.
- To continue to provide leadership and guidance in working towards an amalgamated service both in the short and long term.
- The post holder, with support from the Head of Dermatology Nursing Services, will ensure that high standards of excellence are developed, implemented, evaluated and maintained, with required change planned in accordance with the framework of Clinical Governance.
- To lead by example, acting as a role model to all members of the nursing team, leading care teams and creating a positive learning environment. To deploy and supervise all nursing staff effectively.
- Acts as an expert resource on Nursing care of patients within the specialities and holds a key role in the multidisciplinary team.
- To provide nurse led clinics within specialised area of dermatology, with effective and efficient utilisation of resources.
- Contributes to the education and training of other health care professionals as required.

The Outpatient Dermatology Department at Torbay Hospital runs different variety of clinics and treatments to accommodate surgical and inflammatory patients.
To manage, communicate with, and lead a team of nursing staff, consisting of specialist nurses, dermatology nurses and healthcare support workers to deliver high standards of care within Outpatient Dermatology Department.
To communicate with a team of reception staff and department administrator.
To manage service needs within the department relating to Government and Trust initiatives, ensuring targets are defined, met and continued.
To proactively manage Dermatology Outpatients Department, ensuring staff, service needs, trust and unit targets are met.
To manage a defined budget.
