Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Approved Clinical Coding Trainer with excellent communication skills to join our friendly clinical coding team. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Coding you will work alongside existing team leaders and auditor to deliver a comprehensive clinical coding training program to the whole team.
The Trust offers a flexible agile working policy allowing hybrid working between the office and home and flexibility of hours to allow staff to maintain a good work/life balance. Applications for a fully remote position would also be considered.
All applicants must be willing to maintain their skills by attendance on workshops and refresher training courses.
Applicants without the necessary training qualification may be considered for a Trainee Trainer role and will be supported to achieve the NHS Digital approved clinical coder trainer qualification. This role would be band 5 to progress to band 6 on qualification. Applicants for the trainee trainer role must hold the National Clinical Coding Qualification and have a minimum of two post qualification coding experience.
Main duties of the job
A flexible approach to work is essential, as you may be required to work on other sites and in other areas within the Trust. The role will combine onsite and home-based working.
You must be willing to maintain their skills by attendance on workshops and refresher training courses.
