Working as part of a team on the linear accelerators providing safe and accurate radiotherapy treatment under the supervision of a senior radiographer.
You will safely and efficiently manipulate all complex specialised equipment associated with the treatment of cancer patients undergoing treatment with ionising radiation.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated radiographer to work on rotation through our treatment and pre-treatment delivery sections (including dosimetry).
You will be HCPC registered. Applications are welcome from those due to qualify.
You will have a professional and practical attitude, working with confidence increasing your experience with advanced techniques and technologies.
Role development is actively encouraged and we have a Support and Information, Prostate Support and Research Radiographer in our team. Radiographers within the team have also undertaken Independent Prescribing.

Main duties of the job
Providing safe and accurate highly specialised radiotherapy planning and treatment to patients to a broad range of tumour sites.
Supporting the team leader in the day to day management of patient workflow, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.
This post is rotational and competency driven across treatment delivery and treatment planning which is radiographer led.
There will be a requirement to work flexibly as the service demands.
About us
Torbay provides cancer services to the people of South Devon, a population of approximately 320,000 which generates some 1200 new referrals per year.
The department has Pinnacle 3D planning system, virtual simulation (Prosoma) and a dedicated wide bore CT for treatment planning with 4DCT. The Trust has recently purchased a replacement Wide Bore CT due for installation in 2022.
We have a Support and Information Radiographer, Urology Specialist Radiographer, Gynae Specialist Radiographer and Research Radiographer in post. Radiographers have also undertaken Independent subscribing.
Hours of work may be flexible, and will reflect the needs of the department. Radiographers are required to work shift patterns to cover extended working days, machine service days in addition to bank holidays
