Job summary

Accountable to the Chief Nurse, the Deputy Chief Allied Health Professional will lead the direction of the Trust's Quality Strategy, holding corporate portfolios to ensure that there are effective Patient Experience, Patient Safety, Safeguarding, Risk Management and Clinical Outcomes Frameworks in place for all Allied Health Professionals.

You will lead development and implementation of effective process, systems and training as enabling tools for staff to implement these frameworks and the Quality Strategy across the Organisation, to ensure safe and effective health and social care for patients.

Main duties of the job

  • The Deputy Chief Allied Health Professional reports to and is accountable to, the Chief Nursing Officer, working closely with the Medical Director, other members of the Executive Team, Deputy Medical Directors and the System Care Group Directors.
  • The Deputy Chief Allied Health Professional will be responsible for the consistent delivery of high quality safe, effective care, an excellent experience and optimal outcomes for every patient in every area of the Trust.
  • On behalf of the Chief Nurse, the Deputy Chief Allied Health Professional will hold bespoke and agreed corporate portfolios to ensure strategic development, planning , implementation and sustained delivery against a range of Allied Health Professional strategies including quality, safety, patient experience, workforce, research, education and transformation.

  • oEvidenced senior and strategic leadership and change portfolio

  • oExtensive specialist knowledge of the NHS equivalent to doctorate level, with up to date expert understanding of performance management regimes, finance regimes, operational management, Human Resources and service redesign

Desirable
