An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Hub Service Manager to support the Trust to further develop its core People Hub Service (Human Resources). This vacancy is a fixed term position. The successful candidate will lead the People Hub Team to deliver a modern operational human resources service providing employee relations advice and support in alignment with just and learning principles. This will enable the organisation to be inclusive, flexible and learn through the transformation of its people practices and policies demonstrating that wellbeing is at the forefront of its conscience and practice. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in employment law/employee relations with a holistic OD mindset, passionate about making a difference in the NHS.
Main duties of the job
The People Hub Service Manager plays a key leadership role in the People Directorate to influence and support the delivery and implementation of Trust operational and strategic objectives outlined in our People Plan.

About us
Within the People Hub we are employment law and HR specialists. We aim to use our expertise, combined with a positive coaching approach, to help support our people in line with the needs of our patients and the local community. We are on a journey to develop our people practices to align to a restorative just culture.
Our team offers a 24-hour response general HR advisory service via the People Hub Helpdesk, which is available to all colleagues (individuals and managers) from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
We also provide a dedicated team member to advise each ISU on supporting attendance and triage employee relations cases to an appropriate team member for ongoing comprehensive support.

- Educated to a Master's level in HR field or equivalent work experience and knowledge in a range of areas e.g. HR, Organisational Development, Equality and Diversity, Learning and Development
- Chartered Institute of Personnel Development Member (MCIPD) or equivalent experience

- Chartered Institute of Personnel Development Fellow (FCIPD) or equivalent experience
- Degree or other specific qualification in Employment Law
- Leadership/Management qualification or equivalent experience to degree level

- Previous experience in presentations to large and small hostile audiences and facilitation of agreement between stakeholders using a variety of communication techniques
- Extensive experience in employee relations, with examples of leading very complex cases managing staff side representatives and satisfying stakeholders in conflict
