Registered Nursing Associate - Bristol Royal Hospital For Children
Are you a registered Nursing Associate? This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the team here at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. We have vacancies for Nursing Associates to join us on Daisy and Dolphin Ward.
Daisy Ward is our 10 bedded unit including a 6 bedded Neurosurgical, Trauma and Burns High Dependency Unit and a 4 bedded Burns Unit. For Burns we are the regional centre covering the entire south west. We are also the regional Paediatric Major Trauma Centre with many of these patients treated on the High Dependency Unit.
Dolphin is our specialist cardiac ward with 16 beds, 5 of which are based within our specialist high dependency unit. We care for patients from the age of 0 up to 18 years old. We are a specialist children's cardiac centre, providing care across the South West of England and Wales.
We understand that your training as a Nursing Associate has prepared you to care for patient's across their lifespan. We also recognise that your experience of caring for children may be limited. For this reason we will provide successful applicants with the opportunity to learn about the specific needs of children and their families according to their age, stage of development and social and health circumstances.

Bristol Royal Hospital for Children provides services for children from across the South West of England, and is one of the UK's five specialist Paediatric Major Trauma Centres. Caring for children aged from birth to 16years in partnership with parents and the healthcare team
Promoting growth and development of children in our care recognising their particular needs relating to their age and stage of development such as in communication, play, and nutrition.
Monitor patient's condition and meet their planned' individual needs, within the framework of nursing, medical and AHP treatment and care.
Carry out nursing procedures and interventions as required, in accordance with local policies, and in consultation with other members of the nursing and multi-disciplinary team.
Working as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective care adhering to safeguarding policy and the law as it relates to children and young people.
