Job summary
We are advertising for some Band 2 Community Clinic Clerks to join Unity Sexual Health on a fixed term basis until 31/03/2025. Unity Sexual Health is a comprehensive and integrated sexual health service for people living in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Our free and confidential services include:
Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment;
Contraception care;
Pregnancy advisory services.
Unity Sexual Health is provided by University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust and works in partnership with:
British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS);
Brook;
MSI Reproductive Choices;
North Bristol NHS Trust;
Terrence Higgins Trust.
A total of 12.5 hours are available. The required shift times are:
Monday: 15.00-18.30 - Amelia Nutt
Wednesday 9.00-13.00 - Concord Medical Practice
Thursday 9.45-14.45 or 14.45 19.45 - Concord Medical Practice.

Main duties of the job
Communication:
oTo liaise with wards, clinical staff, GPs and Trust support staff in person, via telephone and email as and when necessaryoTo show a caring and professional approach towards patients and visitors when carrying out reception and appointment dutieso Escalate patient queries, capacity problems and general issues to the role's line manager or relevant clinical staff as appropriateo To receive visitors and trades people into the service
Patient Care:
o To show a caring and professional approach towards patients, relatives and carers. This may require acting with resilience to deal with sometimes distressed patients and relatives in an empathetic manner
