Job Purpose&Main Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking to recruit a full-timefloatWard Clerk (37.5 Hours p/w - Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 16:00TBC). Theroleof theFloatWard Clerk is vital to the BRHC as you will play an importantrolein ensuring high standards of administrative governance on a variety of our inpatient wards. You will be required to be the first point of contact on the ward(s) so a friendly and welcoming demeanour and calmness under pressure are essential for thisrole.
Responsibilities will include acting as the patient's first point of contact on the ward(s), greeting and signposting patients and relatives, processing patients using CareFlow, liaising with colleagues to facilitate a smooth and timely stay with the hospital and sending out patient information
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities will include acting as the patient's first point of contact on the ward, greeting and signposting patients and relatives, processing patients using CareFlow, liaising with colleagues to facilitate a smooth and timely stay with the hospital, sending out patient information, sorting and distributing post. The maintenance of paper and electronic records is also a key element of this role. You will be responsible for setting high standards of patient care by enacting the Trust's core values at all times.
