Job summary

Are you a Project Manager who is ready to develop your skills with an exciting new opportunity? We are looking for someone who can demonstrate their creativity and ability to put new ideas into practice.

There has never been a more exciting time to join Bristol Health Partners Academic Health Science Centre, a dynamic collaboration between the city region's universities, major health and care providers and commissioners, covering the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area.

This is a 2 year fixed-term appointment and we may consider secondment applications. To apply for the position as a secondment, you must secure agreement from your current line manager.

The post will be based within the Bristol Health Partners core team and work specifically on providing effective Senior Project Management support to the Bristol Health Partners HITs. You will use your project management skills to ensure HITs are managed effectively, progressing well against plans and reporting progress to the Bristol Health Partners Chief Operating Officer and others.

The post holder will be responsible for managing HITs to the highest possible standards and will be expected to work under their own initiative, seeking guidance and advice where necessary.

Main duties of the job

Our vision is to unite our excellence in healthcare provision, research and innovation, education and training to deliver healthier lives, through improved prevention of illness and disease and better integration of health and care services. We want to be known for:

  • Equal and fair access, experience and outcome, by tackling health deprivation and inequalities;
  • The excellence of the care we commission and provide, underpinned by cutting edge research and innovation, education and patient and public involvement.

In this role you will work with health and social care researchers, commissioners, policy makers and members of the public across the Bristol City region. You will collaborate with a range of organisations, including the NHS, universities, local authorities, and voluntary and community sector organisations.

The post holder will be able to demonstrate significant Project Management knowledge/experience (PRINCE 2 or MSP qualifications are desirable) along with a proven track record of liaising effectively with a range of stakeholders across various organisations, including at very senior levels.

We would be particularly interested to hear from you if you have experience of health and care project management, combined with an understanding of race equality and the wider equality, diversity and inclusion perspective.
