Our UHBW Bristol site is comprised of 7 hospitals in Bristol city centre, providing local and regional acute services for South Bristol, South West England and parts of South Wales.
We are looking for motivated and ambitious new team members to join our working within our Medicine team. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate post-registration experience in clinical practice with development against the RPS Foundation Pharmacy Framework, will be GPhC registered and be able to demonstrate their experience in clinical practice through application and interview showcasing their readiness to move into a more specialist role. Please note this post is 1 year fixed term to cover a career break.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide pharmaceutical advice to acute and respiratory medicine areas and will look to develop the clinical service and further their own development in these areas. This role will provide leadership to the pharmacy medicine team at various points in the week co-ordinating the workflow and junior pharmacist assignments to optimise patient experience and hospital flow. You will contribute to clinical projects, quality improvement programmes and teaching through developing management, leadership and educational skills in conjunction with the lead pharmacists in medicine.As a member of the pharmacy team you will be required to provide general pharmaceutical duties to the various sections of the pharmacy department providing leadership and supervision for supporting staff. The post holder will be required participate in the pharmacy department late, weekend and bank-holiday rotas.
