Job summary

This could be the role for you!

You will need to plan the inspections for the eight hospitals to be completed over the required timeline and be flexible if circumstances change within the clinical, catering and retail areas.

The areas include approximately 10 cafe outlets and 68 kitchens. It includes: kitchens, pantry's, dining rooms, beverage kitchens, stores, chilled rooms, food prep rooms, kitchens on wards and caf's etc.

This role will be working on average one day a week, although a level of flexibility will be required.

This role is currently subject to banding.

Main duties of the job

Your role will include:

  • Using expert knowledge, inspect areas to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory regulations, Trust policies and procedures including infection control, health and safety, fire regulations.
  • To be the food safety subject matter expert in terms of audit, inspection and risk assessment.
  • Supporting the visits of the Environmental Health Officers to eight hospitals by producing a robust process to achieve 5 star food hygiene ratings.
  • To develop and maintain an effective and accessible paper and electronic filing system and index of all protocols and procedures.
  • Opportunity to implement new processes and procedures within the role and department.
