Medical Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialist 1 WTE band 6.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse with an enquiring mind and a passion for patient-centred, evidence-based care to join our Medical Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialist team. We are a close-knit medical team who are committed, driven individuals and are passionate about ensuring outstanding patient care.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing service. Our patient cohort is mainly comprised of people with complex or challenging inflammatory skin disease on systemic and biologic medication, requiring expert monitoring and supervision.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide advice, support, and information from the time of diagnosis and throughout the patients care pathway through consultation, treatment, aftercare, education and training.
The successful candidate will work closely with the team in the hospital and consultants at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston Trust, North Bristol Trust, and collaboratively with the dermatology team at Taunton and the Community Dermatology team. They will act as a role model to ensure a co-ordinated quality service, being actively involved in education, audit, research and development.
The successful candidate will be joining our team at an exciting time of change and engagement in specialist roles. We can support them to complete competencies and further training, through attendance at conferences and educational courses, in order to develop the knowledge and skills they would need in this role and towards their future personal and professional development.
