Job summary

The Division of Surgery are looking for an individual to join their friendly and professional management support team.

This post would be for individuals who have previously worked as a PA/secretary.

Main duties of the job

You will be working as part of a team of three staff that delivers PA and administrative support to the management team in the Division of Surgery. The role will provide support predominantly for the Divisional Director of Nursing, Deputy Divisional Directors of Quality, Matrons, ward teams and support to the Management team. You will also provide support and appropriate cross cover for the other two PAs who you will work alongside.

  • Have experience of working as a Personal Assistant at a senior level
  • Excellent knowledge and experience using computer packages, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of dealing with the public, both on the telephone and in person
  • Significant experience taking minutes and creating reports

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience

  • Methodical and reliable, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to work with willingness to learn and develop in the role
  • Ability to quickly adopt changes to working practices
