We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Assistant Project Manager to join our Capital Team. This role will be responsible for overseeing a variety of projects within our multi-campus, multi-building estate and property portfolio. From inception to commissioning and handover, the successful candidate will work with the Senior Project Manager to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standards, meeting all objectives within agreed budgets and timelines.
No two days will be the same and the role presents an excellent learning opportunity and a stepping stone to a career in healthcare construction project management.
The role will initially be based at Weston General Hospital supporting a £5m redevelopment of the Emergency Department.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and prepare service user briefs, identifying service requirements, objectives, and healthcare standards (HTMs and HBNs).
- Compile and obtain approval for Project Initiation Document/brief.
- Liaise with engineering Estates Officers, external consultants, and professionals to deliver best value solutions.
- Provide expert advice on construction-related legislation, including Firecode, Building Regulations, Planning Application Process, Equality Act, Construction Design and Management Regulations, Party Wall matters, and health and safety legislation.
