Job summary

The Endoscopy Service at the Bristol Royal Infirmary is looking to recruit a full time, permanent Co-ordinator within the admissions team. The Endoscopy Service carries out over 10,000 procedures a year within our Queens' Day Unit and at the South Bristol Community Hospital meaning the admissions office is a very busy department. The successful candidate will be working as part of a administration team, providing outstanding service to our patients and clinical colleagues.

Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday.

If you like working with people, have excellent customer service, can work accurately and meet deadlines, then we want to hear from you. You will likely have experience in either the NHS or in customer service and thrive on helping people. You will have excellent office and administration experience and the ability to manage your own workload.

This role is an excellent next step if you are currently in a junior administration position within the NHS or a good first position if looking to join the NHS with extensive customer service experience.

More about the role & service

The Endoscopy Service is a Specialty within the Division of Surgery. The Endoscopy team carry out both elective and non-elective surgery within various theatres within the UHBW campus trust. We manage patients on an emergency care pathway as well as patients undergoing routine, urgent and cancer pathway care.

As an admissions coordinator you will work closely with the Consulting team in the management of their elective wait list patients. You will also act as an office contact for various stakeholders in other specialties such as Cancer Services and the Pre-operative Assessment Service. You will also deal directly with other AQP Endoscopy services in the management of out sourcing waitlists and utilising capacity at other locations.
