An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trauma and Orthopaedic (T+O) Occupational Therapist to join University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW), as a Team Lead. The post will be based at Bristol Royal Infirmary. We are looking to recruit a creative and passionate Occupational Therapist to provide outstanding clinical and professional contributions to our team.
Through this role the successful candidate will support the team to deliver high quality therapy to a varied inpatient caseload of patients including elderly trauma, major trauma and limb reconstruction. The trauma pathway includes some neuro-trauma such as head injuries and spinal injuries.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work alongside the Team Lead Physiotherapists. They will join a team which includes a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, static and rotational band 6OccupationalTherapists and Physiotherapists, rotational band 5 Therapists and Therapy Technicians. In collaboration with the Pathway Lead, they will support delivery of a high quality and responsive service, including responsibility for the operational management and leadership of the team, ensuring patients receive up-to-date, evidence-based treatments and implement clinical standards.
The successful applicant will be an integral part of the T+O service. This includes providing clinical support, attending, and inputting to regular combined meetings and in-service training and contributing to service development by being aware of the national and local agendas.
