Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre for 2 WTE band 6 Macmillan supported roles to expand our existing service for breast cancer patients. The CNS service will be expanding to include support for patients with primary breast cancer who are undergoing Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) including radiotherapy. If you are an experienced and motivated registered nurse with an interest in breast cancer we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will utilize skills of clinical expertise, education and management to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers and staff. The post holder will provide advice, support and information throughout their pathway in BHOC, while receiving SACT or radiotherapy for breast cancer.
- provide advice, support and information from the time of diagnosis and throughout care pathway.
- work closely with the multidisciplinary team in hospital and the community to ensure a coordinated quality service and will be actively involved in education, audit and research.
- engage in and lead discussions in multidisciplinary team meetings, acting as an advocate for the patients receiving (SACT) for breast cancer
