Job summary

Are you a motivated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor with a strong understanding of health and safety legislation? Do you have experience of working on construction projects, managing contractors, and undertaking risk assessments and inspections? UHBW are recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor that will be workingclosely with the Estates, Facilities and Capital Project Managers to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures. This will include undertaking risk assessments and inspections of workplaces, equipment and activities, and investigating accidents and incidents.

They will be responsible for providing training and awareness raising on health and safety to staff and managers.

Main duties of the job

As part of your role you will:

  • Communicate with key stakeholders including the Trust's Health and Safety team as well as staff and managers at all levels
  • Provide comprehensive and up-to-date health and safety advice andguidance to staff and managers on all aspects of health and safety,including legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement risk control measures to mitigate hazards and risks.
  • Lead the co-ordination of quarterly KPI's and drive targets to demonstrate a year-on-year improvement on service.
