Job summary
The Divisional Finance Manager will be responsible to the Divisional Director for delivering a comprehensive financial management service, leading the development of the business aspects of the divisions operating plan and identifying, structuring and scheduling new business development opportunities, this includes providing strategic business leadership for the division ensuring a holistic approach is adopted, in particular forging links between income, expenditure, workforce, activity and achievement of performance targets. The Divisional Finance Manager will be required to ensure that corporate financial objectives are delivered as well as representing the Trust at regional and national forums relating to the divisions clinical services. The post holder's expert and specialist financial management skills will be deployed to support the clinical leadership within the divisional management Team. The post holder will therefore play a crucial role in ensuring that the following fundamental and underlying activities necessary to organisational success are achieved.
This is a full time Band 8c post.
Main duties of the job
The Divisional Finance Manager (DFM) is a full member of the relevant divisional board fulfilling all the duties of a Divisional Finance Manager outlined in this job description.
Requirement to support ongoing work with regards to the trust wide financial recovery plan and delivering the trusts longer term financial plan. This will require the post holder to be flexible with regards to which division they are deployed as required by the Chief Finance Officer and Head of Financial Management.
