Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic RIS/PACS Lead Administrator to join our support team. The post holder will work primarily Radiology as part of the RIS/PACS Team , but will have a significant working relationship with the Trust PC Tech Support and other Digital Services teams. A proven track record in excellent customer service is crucial in this busy role. Work will be based around the main hospital campus in central Bristol, however the Trust has sites throughout the city, so a driving license is essential.
Support of Radiology IT will include the RIS, PACS and other supporting systems as well as PC based development and will include close working with the Infrastructure Team to develop and maintain the relevant infrastructure.
The post holder should have at least two years' experience working in either an IT support role, or a Radiology RIS/PACS Team. Experience in a helpdesk support environment will be very benficial.
Please note the post holder will be required to work some time both before and after core office hours to gain access to busy areas, they may also be required to work as part of an 'on-call rota' or to work shifts in the future.
Main duties of the job
1. PACS service support
- The work up, deployment, administration and support of the Trust's RIS and PACS workflows
- Planning RIS and PACS upgrades and post go-live workflow and technical support
- Development and provision of the training of staff using Radiology IT systems
2. Installation of IT systems
- Configuration and process mapping of new software
- Deployment of workflows
- Integration of equipment and software to the Trust RIS and PACS
- Develop training programmes for new workflows
