Job summary
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and kind Receptionist/Administrator to join the Admin team at our Integrated Sexual Health Clinic, based at Weston General Hospital. Aptitudes of kindness and patience along with a non-judgemental and considered manner is essential.
The position is for a permanent position of 24hrs a week. The hours offered to the successful applicant will be the following (with a Saturday morning approximately every 2 months, which is shared equally within the admin team);
Monday 11.30-5.30 -6 hrs
Tuesday 2-8 - 6hrs
Wednesday 11.30-5.30 -6hrs
Friday 8.30 -2.30 - 6hrs
Previous experience of working in a Sexual Health Clinic is desirable though not essential. Aptitudes of kindness and patience along with a non-judgemental and considered manner is essential.

Main duties of the job
- Answer the telephone, make appointments, deal with queries relevant to the service and/or take accurate messages, record details and pass on to the appropriate team/individual in a timely manner.
- Provide a professional face to face welcome to visitors, patients, staff and service users.
- Photocopying, filing, record keeping, plus other general office duties as and when required.
- Process and update all relevant documentation where appropriate, using computerised systems, providing records and information as requested.
- Deal with various enquiries via phone, face to face, fax, email or mail from GPs, consultants, specialist nurses, relatives, patients, medical staff and external organisations.

- Good standard of general education with particular strengths in English Language at GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent
- Recognised computer/IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
- Recognised word-processing/typing qualification to RSA II, NVQ II Level or demonstrable experience at this level
Aptitudes

- Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external users.
- Flexible attitude to ensure that optimum support is offered to the Service Leads and administrators in delivering services to patients
