Job summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a keen individual to join our Quality Control/Quality Assurance team based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The successful candidate will ideally have an interest in science or pharmacy, a good eye for detail and an ability to work accurately. Primarily you will be supporting a busy team in the day to day activities including sending samples for testing, completing analysis and co-ordinating quality meetings. You will have a key role supporting Pharmacy Technical Services.

Main duties of the job

1. To contribute to aspects of the service of the quality control department which carries out over 50 000 environmental monitoring tests, analyses of over 200 products and raw materials along with assisting over 2 000 operator and process validations per annum.

2.To act as admin support for the Quality Management System by assisting in the co-ordination of the quality meetings across the whole of pharmacy technical services and to act as minute taker.

3.To communicate effectively with individuals within Quality Control (QC), Parenteral Services Unit (PSU), Pharmacy Production, Radiopharmacy, Regional Quality Control Laboratory (RQCL), Pharmacy, ward staff and external contractors.

4.To develop own skills and knowledge and contribute to the development of others.
