- Significant post graduate experience of multidisciplinary team work, with exposure to working in an NHS environment
- Strong knowledge and expertise in working in ITU and acute adult respiratory medical care including older persons acute care.
- Experience of working in close collaboration with community services, social care, and voluntary sector organisations in order to deliver safe and timely transition of care from hospital.
- Experience in directly managing other therapy staff
- Experience in service development and in organising and implementing teaching/ training programmes for healthcare professionals and service users.
Main duties of the job
This post would cover medical inpatient wards and intensive care. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Technicians. They will be responsible for the everyday running of service delivery, with support from the other Band 7 Integrated Medical Team Leads. You will be demonstrating clinical leadership and expertise on the wards and supporting the integrated team to deliver high quality care. You will be supported by the Therapy Pathway Leads for Weston, the clinical specialist for ITU and NIV, the Divisional Medical Therapy Lead for UHBW and the Adult Therapies Team of UHBW.
