Our exciting and ambitious plan "Embracing Change, Proud to Care - Our 2025 Vision" is seeing significant investment in Adult Therapy Services in order to grow our specialist hospital services positioning ourselves as a leading provider in the Southwest of England.
In order to achieve our vision, we want to recruit the best talent and currently have an opportunity in our Integrated Medical Therapy Team at Weston site for a Band 6 Physiotherapist.
With the investment in and development of the Therapy services at Weston site there really has never been a more exciting time to join the team!
Main duties of the job
As part of an integrated therapy service, you will report to a Band 7 Occupational Therapy and/or Physiotherapy team lead in your clinical area. You will be able to access senior Physiotherapy professional support and training and development opportunities. In turn you may also provide support and supervision to less experienced staff, technicians, and students.
We are looking for Physiotherapists who are keen to gain senior and specialist clinical experience as a Medical Band 6 within a friendly, forward thinking, and supportive Adult Therapy Service. The successful candidate would be joining a large and dedicated integrated team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Technicians. You must be an effective team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
You will be working as part of a 5-day service, but with the development of the Therapy services we are working towards implementing a 7-day service at Weston site. Weekend working will on a 1:4 frequency. As a Band 6 Physiotherapist you will also contribute to the Weston on-call weekend and evening respiratory rota - training will be provided. You will also work up to two bank holidays per year.
We also wish to make candidates aware that for this role we do not have any funding available to support successful candidate with relocation costs. As an organisation we will cover the cost of any Certificates of Sponsorships that are required, though that is the only cost we can support.

- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Health Professions Council registered
- A variety of experience in core areas as a postgraduate physiotherapist e.g. Care of the Elderly, T&O, musculoskeletal, respiratory & neurological, dealing with a wide range of patients with differing needs
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Desirable
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Involvement in Relevant Special Clinical Interest Groups
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team and/ or multidisciplinary team
