Main duties of the job

The post holder will need to work closely with other corporate education team members and the wider Trust education team. The role supports the development, delivery, administration, and oversight of corporate education with the Trust. The role involves the delivery of corporate induction, statutory/mandatory and role-specific training for clinical and non-clinical staff.

The post holder will be primarily based at our Bristol location but will be regularly asked to train staff at our Weston site.

The post holder will apply a variety of blended learning offers to small and large groups. Working collaboratively with the Trust Manual Handling Team the post holder will be tasked with the delivery of Moving and Handling training, after accomplishment of a 'train the trainer' certificate. Prior experience in this field will be strongly considered in our selection of suitable candidates (but not essential and applicants will be developed in this area). It is essential that the post holder has clinical experience/background.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Recent experience of working in a large NHS organisation
  • Experience of designing & delivering high quality training to small and large groups
  • Experience of updating and creating digital learning, such as webpages
  • Working knowledge of education as part of a health care organisation and a work-based learning ethos
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory guidance
  • Able to make judgements on suitability of resources and training for service users' needs
  • Portfolio of evidence for the teaching and learning/education facilitation, especially in relation to work based learning
  • Experience of corporate education such as induction, statutory & mandatory training

Qualifications

  • Post holder must be prepared to achieve the Manual Handling "Train the Trainer" certificate
  • The post holder is required to hold a recognised, relevant, clinical healthcare qualification e.g. Nursing/Allied Health Profession (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification
  • Recognised work-based training experience

  • Recognised teaching qualification
