Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic registered nurse to join our dynamic International Educated Nurse Workforce Development and Education Team.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder would be primarily responsible for delivery of the OSCE programme and is expected to work closely with international educated nurse workforce development and education lead, resourcing and education colleagues within divisions and across the Trust.
  • Work collaboratively with ward, hospital, and Trust personnel to ensure IENs meet their training requirements e.g., OSCE and NMC Registration in a safe and timely fashion.
  • To support in organising and delivering OSCE skills programmes for the IENs to ensure that they have the skills and competence to successfully deliver safe patient care when working in a clinical environment.
  • Be an IEN champion, providing support to the recruiting manager and wider ward staff in integration of the international nurse workforce into their local area/department and the wider Trust.
  • Actively participate in introducing and supporting development of evidence-based practice with the IEN workforce within the trust.
  • Act as a role model to raise understanding, maintain standards of professionalism and contribute to the development of nursing practice in the IEN workforce across the trust.
  • Support the development, delivery, and evaluation of IEN programmes to meet clinical demand within the trust.
  • Where required, support IEN registered and non-registered nurses in the development of their clinical skills and professionalism.
