Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a friendly, confident and experienced therapist to join the Primary Care Dental Service as a Lead Dental Hygiene Therapist.

The successful candidate will work in dental departments within community settings located in the Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset areas.

This post is for 2 days per week.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with anxious patients, patients with special needs, and patients with challenging behaviour in a community setting. The candidate will also be expected to work with colleagues to manage patient pathways, engage with audits and QI projects, and lead and support Band 6 Therapists within the service.

In addition to this, the post holder will work closely with the wider team and management to ensure safe and professional protocols are in place, and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the service.

  • Full GDC Registration
