Job summary

UHBW are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and innovative recruiter to join our in-house talent team. A team which is quickly establishing an excellent reputation for itself within the Trust and the wider BNSSG, for delivering imaginative, resourceful and strategic recruitment solutions that work. The team work hand in glove with the wider Resourcing Team which is where Talent is located.

The postholder will support the Clinical Talent Acquisition Manager on the strategic recruitment of hard to recruit to clinical roles across the organisation, specially medical and AHP recruitment. This role will have a particular emphasis on the implementation of the Healthy Weston 2 programme, therefore the postholder will be expected to embrace cross-site working.

The postholder will also require considerable experience in recruitment, resourcing, talent acquisition, ideally within a healthcare setting, knowledge of effective selection practices, experience of hiring across a number of different functions and disciplines and experience of coaching, supporting and influencing line managers.

The ideal candidate for this role will need to be a natural problem-solver as no day will ever be the same and don't forget to roll up your sleeves because we have lots to do.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will have overall responsibility to implement the recruitment plan for Healthy Weston 2, this will include recruitment of medical and dental, nursing and midwifery, allied health professional and scientific staff. The successful candidate will also support the strategic recruitment of hard to recruit medical & dental and AHP roles across the organisation.

The postholder will work closely with teams across the organisation, professional and regulatory bodies and a range of other key stakeholders and influencers. In conjunction with Divisional colleagues, the postholder will ensure that clinical recruitment across the Trust is responsive to the service needs of all Divisions, with the aim of reducing vacancy rates, minimising the use of bank / agency and improving staff retention.

Particular responsibility is invested in the postholder to maximise the delivery of effective and creative recruitment solutions and support innovative marketing plans to address ongoing vacancy demands particularly within the Weston General Hospital.

The successful candidate will have line management responsibility for the Overseas Recruitment and Relocation Support Officers and will drive forward the pastoral and onboarding agenda. The postholder will also manage a Talent Acquisition Specialist and Locum Doctors team.

You will be pivotal in the operationalisation and management of overseas and largescale cohort recruitment through new and innovative schemes and programmes.
