Job summary
We are currently looking to recruit an exceptional, professional and highly motivated Capital Programme Finance Manager to manage the Trust's Capital Programme.
This is a key role in the finance team and will work closely with the Head of Financial Services to provide guidance and complex, technical accounting advice to the Trust's Directors, Divisional and Senior Managers.
As the Capital Programme Finance Manager, you will also be responsible for producing the sources and applications for the Trust's annual capital programme, maintaining and monitoring the performance of the capital programme and reporting the delivery of the programme both internally across the Trust and externally to meet regulator and statutory requirements. Working with the Trust's Directors, Divisional Capital Leads and other senior managers you will ensure that the financial information to support the programme is presented in a timely and accurate format and that processes and controls regarding capital expenditure is communicated and understood across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Work closely with the Head of Financial Services to develop the Trust's annual capital programmeas part of the annual planning process.
Provide specialist complex technical accounting advice and support to the Trust to financially manage the Trust's annual capital programme.
Liaise with charitable organisations regarding their financing of the Trust's capital programme, including cash flow and matching source and applications of funds.
Liaise and work with the Trust's Directors, Divisional and Senior Managers to ensure that approved capital accounting procedures are operated throughout the Trust.
Responsible for the management and performance of the Capital Reporting team.
Ensure processes and procedures are in place across the Trust to ensure compliance with accounting for VAT on capital expenditure.
Pro-actively design, develop and implement policies and procedures relating to capital accounting,monitoring and reporting within the Finance department and across the Trust to ensure the compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and other statutory requirements and the effective management of the Trust's capital expenditure.
Develop, review and maintain the Trust's capital expenditure reporting and related management information to ensure the effective management of capital expenditure across the Trust.
Develop and maintain effective capital reporting systems and processes.
