Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a health records clerk in one of the Trust's busy Medical Records/Scanning Bureau areas. The position will be based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. We are looking for a well organised, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to help support the current team and move forward with digitalising our patient records. You must be reliable, flexible and have excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job

To ensure the patient notes are available where they are needed to support patient care. The post holder will be responsible for retrieving case notes, which may be stored in the library or other locations within the hospital/trust. Collating, organising, scanning and quality checking case notes in readiness for future outpatient attendances and inpatient stays. The images will then form part of the patients Electronic Patient Record.

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 GCSE's which must include English and Mathematics.

  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Basic keyboard skills.
