Unity Sexual Health is seeking a 7.5 PA fixed term locum Consultant in Sexual Health (to cover maternity leave until August 2022) to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will join the team at Unity in supporting a high quality, innovative, integrated sexual health model of care for the population of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire served by Unity Sexual Health.The consultant will work across the level 3 services at Central Health Clinic, Bristol and WISH in Weston Super mare. You will be working with experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality integrated sexual healthcare.The appointee will be required to provide Level 3 Genitourinary Medicine services and integrated sexual health care. Dual training in contraception to DFSRH level is expected.You must be on the GMC's Specialist Register for Genitourinary Medicine, or other relevant specialty eg O&G, CSRH (or if a Specialist Registrar not yet enrolled, you must provide documentary evidence that you will have completed the relevant CCT within six months).Interview date is provisionally planned for Tuesday 8th FebruaryClosing date for applicants Monday 31st January
Main duties of the job
The post is open to candidates with a CCT in Genito-urinary Medicine (GUM), O&G (Sexual and Reproductive Health) or Community Sexual and Reproductive Health (CSRH). In addition to providing expert clinical care formen and women attending WISH and Unity Central Level 3 integrated Sexual Health Service and educational support for the wide variety of trainees and multi-professional staff within our service, the post-holder may beasked to work in one of our community clinics. The successful applicant will work 1 in 7 Saturday mornings at Central Health Clinic.
