Job summary

We seek a committed individual to join our team within Bristol Dental Hospital and School. This teaching hospital-based post is an exciting career development opportunity for a highly motivated dentist who has completed at least two years of dental core training and who aspires to enter specialty training (e.g. in oral surgery or OMFS) or to apply for specialty dentist posts in the future.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will spend around 70% of their time in clinical work which will include on-call as part of the DCT rolling rota (including night shifts and weekends), supervised inpatient ward and theatre work, outpatient assessment and follow-up clinics, and oral surgery treatment sessions. For the remainder of their time, the appointee will develop their CV in developing bespoke educational sessions for our oral and maxillofacial surgery dental core trainees. There may be opportunities for motivated individuals to get involved with quality improvement and/or research projects.
