An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic Digital Learning Designer with a keen interest in the development of e-learning solutions and blended learning approaches using a wide variety of technologies. You will take a lead on agreed projects that deliver the strategic objectives of the NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) in South West England.
This post is a unique opportunity for an individual with experience in the use of digital technologies to enhance the learning and development of the research workforce across the four local CRNs of Thames Valley & South Midlands, Wessex, West of England and South West Peninsula. This post will be key to ensuring the success of the collaboration.
The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is funded through the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to improve the health and wealth of the nation through research. The NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) coordinates and supports the delivery of clinical research in the NHS and the wider health and social care environment, and supports patients, the public, and health and care organisations across England to participate in high-quality research. This role is hosted by University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW) on behalf of the network.

- Educated to degree level in a related field or relevant experience in a research or learning environment
- Additional specialist training or experience relevant to the role (e.g. health and care research, learning and development, IT and digital, teaching or training)
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Knowledge and experience
Essential
- Experience of working with learning and development professionals to design and deliver online learning solutions
- Creativity and the ability to identify innovative and engaging approaches to using learning technologies
- Experience in developing, implementing and following standard procedures
- Experience of working independently and autonomously
- Experience of video and audio production and editing
- Experience with graphic design software and creating design systems
- Project management experience or qualification
