Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Grade Doctor to join the Bristol Heart Institute. It is envisaged that the post-holder will principally manage the patients on the ward, assisting and co-ordinating the care of acutely unwell patients and also facilitating patient flow. Supporting and training of junior medical staff and close working with the consultant body is also anticipated. The post holder will also attend the outpatient clinic and see generally cardiology patients. There is also opportunity to develop or continue to pursue a specialist interest such as echocardiography or pacing, although other areas of interest could be considered.

Main duties of the job

The post is whole-time (10 PA) and in accordance with Trust policy for consultant appointments, a minimum of 1.5PAs will be available for supporting professional activities.

We are looking for dynamic individuals who want to join our team. The post-holder will be provided with an adequately equipped office, including information technology facilities and will have secretarial and administrative support.
